Itinerary

Day 1From Arusha to Tarangire National Park

The day will start with a safari briefing followed by a 2-hour drive to Tarangire. The park is located in the Manyara region and is the country’s largest park. Tarangire boasts of a dry Savannah landscape interrupted by acacia and baobab trees. The park derives its name from the perennial Tarangire River that cuts across its northern side. Tarangire is one of the best places to view large herds of elephants up close. It is also a great place to see the most sought-after animals such as the lions, cheetahs, and elusive elephants.
Enjoy the game drive from the open roof of the safari vehicle.
Overnight at camp.

Day 2From the Tarangire Area to Lake Manyara

After breakfast, your next destination is Lake Manyara National park. This Lake appears on the Rift Valley floor and boasts of abundant birdlife. Some of the fantastic scenes at the lake are the baboon-filled terrains. The region is also home to wildebeests, impalas, and hippos.
Overnight will be at a lodge with all meals included.

Day 3Lake Manyara to Serengeti

After breakfast, experience the cooler highlands of Tanzania as you travel towards the Southern side of the Serengeti. The Serengeti is a vast plain rich in wildlife and adventure.
There are a lot of activities to indulge in including a visit to the Serengeti Visitor centre, visiting a Maasai Village, or spending time at the Olduvai Gorge.
The park consists of a landscape rich in grassland, swamps, lakes, and thick bushes. There is also a unique rock formation known as the kopjes. This rock is where predators rest if they are not hunting.
The Serengeti is also famous for the great wildebeest migration-a natural wonder.
Overnight at camp. All meals included.

Day 4The Serengeti

This day is an opportunity for you to enjoy the beauty of the Serengeti. You will get to see the migrating herds as they undertake the journey of their life. Watch as predators like the lions and cheetahs stalk the migrating herds. The crocodile too waits for the animals as they cross the overflowing river.
The migration indeed is a dance of life and death. During the months of November and December, the wildebeests migrate from the Northern side of the reserve to the South. The migration is dependent on the rainfall, and the movement varies annually.
Overnight at camp. All meals included.

Day 5Serengeti to Karatu

The morning drive after breakfast will be on our way out of the Serengeti. This will be an opportunity to enjoy more wildlife.
We head out to the Ngorongoro Crater, a geological wonder. The Ngorongoro has its fair share of rich flora and fauna. The vegetation of woodlands and grasslands provides the predators with good camouflage as they hunt the herbivorous grazing on the lush green vegetation. Some of the animals to look out for are the zebras, wildebeest, Thompson gazelle, topi, black rhino, buffalos, elephants, hyenas, cheetahs, golden jackal, bat-eared foxes, and leopards. The lions are not afraid of the moving vehicles and will seek shade under them when the sun gets too hot.
From Ngorongoro, we go to the Farm House in Karatu. Enjoy walks at the coffee plantation that have a rich history. This will be a time to learn about how the crop is cultivated and picked.
Overnight at lodge or farmhouse. All meals included.

Day 6From Karatu territory to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, you will travel from Karatu to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
The geological formation of Ngorongoro crater took place some 2.5 million years ago. A massive volcano exploded and collapsed inwards forming the crater. This day will be a chance for you to explore the 610 meters (2000 feet) deep crater. Here you will get to experience the Big Five along with some other rare species such as the Black Rhino, Blue Wildebeest, the wild dog, and the spotted hyena. The conserved area is also a bird paradise.
Overnight at lodge or farmhouse. All meals included.

Day 7From Karatu to Arusha

After breakfast, you will be taken to Arusha and arrive in time for lunch. Feel free to spend some time checking out the city. After that, you may choose to stay in the city centre, or you will be taken to the airport.
