This will then be followed by relaxing wildlife tours to the incredible Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire.

Itinerary

Day 1Lake Manyara National Park

Our guides/ driver will pick you up after breakfast for our morning drive to Lake Manyara. Lake Manyara offers great walking safaris along the lake edges and this will be our first activity, once we get there. The guides will let you in on the different medicinal plants and how to track animals. It’s also an opportunity to see the different flowers, butterflies and flamingoes that adorn the lake. The walking safari makes you enjoy nature by becoming part of it.
After the walk, we start the game drives where you can spot different animals, including blue monkeys, elephants, baboons, wildebeests, waterbucks, warthogs, impala’s, and the dik-dik. The main attraction to the park is the tree climbing lions. A pride of lions relaxing high up the acacia trees is a must see once here!
Dinner and overnight at lodge.

Day 2The central part of the Serengeti

We depart to Serengeti’s central part after breakfast. This part of the Serengeti is well known for the easy sighting of leopards and lions. Other animals to look out for include the cheetahs, giraffes, elephants, ostrich, hippos, pangolin, and many more.
The central Serengeti is characterized by a network of perennial rivers that ensure the wildlife has water supplies all year round. This tranquil park experiences disruption during the great migration. Thousands of animals pound the ground with their hooves as they all run in search of greener pastures.
Overnight at lodge. All meals provided.

Day 3Serengeti north

After breakfast, we head out for Serengeti North. This area is mostly unexplored and boasts of abundant wildlife and stunning landscapes.
The migratory wildebeests and zebras make for stunning views that make the Serengeti a must visit. Other animals to spot on North Serengeti include the elephant, the giraffe, crocodile, hippos, lions and if lucky, the rare Oribi antelope.
The afternoon game drive will be followed by some rest at the lodge and dinner. All meals included.

Day 4Serengeti North

This will be another day of full game drives along the Mara river. It may be the rare opportunity to watch as the lion rests with its cubs under a shade. A gazelle will pass in close proximity, and the lion will sprint for a chase. The Impala runs for its life while the hungry lion follows it closely.
It’s also an opportune moment to watch as the sneaky crocodile waits patiently for the hoofed animals as they cross the fast-flowing waters.
Return for overnight and dinner at the lodge. All meals included.

Day 5Ngorongoro

Breakfast will be followed by game drives in the central Serengeti. We will head out to Ngorongoro for dinner and overnight.
The Ngorongoro crater offers a picturesque view of the big five and rich grazing grounds with stunning views. The caldera was once a mountain higher than the Kilimanjaro mountain. After the eruption, it became home to large predators, numerous bird species and other incredible animals.
Overnight at lodge. All meals included.

Day 6Ngorongoro and on to Tarangire

The Ngorongoro, the largest volcanic caldera in the world, is an incredible site that houses the big five. It’s home to huge tusked elephants, black rhinos, tricky leopards, huge herds of buffalos, and leopards that roam openly along the rim of the crater.
The animals here do not migrate due to the abundant water and green vegetation. This makes it an awesome place to visit at any time of the year.
The sprawling plains and acacia woodland make it the true garden of Eden. The rich grazing grounds are home to the wildebeest, Burchell’s Zebras, grant and Thomson gazelles, spotted hyenas, hartebeests, eland, topi, baboons, jackals and warthogs.
Rare sightings of the serval, golden cat and the caracal have also been reported. Bird lovers will also have a fun day as the crater has more than 200 bird species.
Lunch will be at a picnic site and then we drive off to Tarangire in the late afternoon, for dinner and overnight.

Day 7Tarangire National Park

Tarangire is famous for the abundant birdlife and browsing herds of elephants. After breakfast, we head out to enjoy the beauty of Tarangire with our packed lunch at the ready.
Other animals to look out for include the zebras, giraffes, buffalos, warthogs, elands, Impalas, and greater kudu. The vegetation in the park is mostly baobab trees that line the Tarangire river. The volcanic mountain ranges add to the splendour of unique natural wildlife habitat.
The tree climbing python is a rare scenario together with the generuk, the oryx and the dwarf mongoose.
After dinner, we return to the park for a night game drive. This is your opportunity to view incredible nocturnal animals like the leopards, porcupines, hyenas, bush babies, genets and civets. Other animals include the African wild dog, the serval cats and the wild cats, which are very rare even on night drives.
Overnight at camp. All meals included.

Day 8Arusha

We will drive back to Arusha after some sumptuous breakfast and arrive in time for lunch. After this, you will be dropped off at the airport for your flight home.
